Jobnet is a recruitment service that helps businesses get the employees they need for free. It is a Lewisham based free recruitment service that works with businesses, organisations and employment initiatives across London. Jobnet is funded by Lewisham Council and the London Development Agency (LDA); it is part of the Opening Doors service. Unlike high street agencies, it is a not-for-profit organisation, this means that no fees are involved and there is no pressure on either clients or candidates. Businesses recruit who they want at a time that is right for them. Jobnet can visit businesses to provide a tailored recruitment solution. Training can be offered before employment starts.

Lewisham residents aged 16 plus are eligible to use Opening Doors and the Jobnet service. They are offered impartial information, advice and guidance, computer training, careers advice, job search facilities, CV support, access to training programmes, a range of up-to-date vacancies and support with preparing for interviews. Job applicants are interviewed individually and skills, experience and career aspirations are explored in depth to maximise the best possible outcome.
